Strategic direction is of key importance for sustainable future development

The Executive Board is responsible for the management of the three holding companies within the Schaumann Group: Union Agricole Holding AG, Biotic Science Holding AG and Enbycon Holding AG. The holding companies act as parent companies for the Schaumann Group’s core business areas: agriculture, biotechnology and renewable energies.

The Executive Board steers the Group’s strategic direction and takes responsibility for its sustainable and successful continued existence.

Dr. Hermann Pricker - Chairmann of the Board

Dr Hermann Pricker possesses more than two decades’ leadership experience in the agricultural, food and investment sectors.

After studying agricultural sciences at Christian-Albrechts-University in Kiel, he began his career in operational and sales-related roles. In 1997, he joined the Schaumann Group, took over as Head of Sales in 2005 and moved to the Executive Board seven years later.

As Chairman of the Executive Board of the Schaumann Group in Pinneberg, Dr Pricker is responsible for the Group’s strategic direction and the further development of sustainable and long-term business models.

Gerald Jandrisovits - Deputy Chairman of the Board

Gerald Jandrisovits, a born Austrian, studied agricultural economics at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences (BOKU), Vienna, and joined the Schaumann Group after graduating in 1994. He began his career as a sales and regional manager in Niederösterreich (Lower Austria, a federal state of Austria).

In the years that followed, Mr Jandrisovits gradually took on positions of increasing responsibility and played a key role in shaping the group’s development in both Austria and Germany.

In April 2021, he was appointed to the Executive Board and has since been responsible for the group’s international sales and marketing activities. Mr Jandrisovits has been Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board of the Schaumann Group since 2025.

Sebastian Balke - Executive Director of Business Development

Sebastian Balke is known for his entrepreneurial leadership style, characterised by a strong focus on the market and practical experience, as well as a commitment to actively developing markets.

His origins lie in agriculture. After undergoing apprenticeship training as a farmer and studying industrial engineering at Weihenstephan University of Applied Sciences, he gained international experience at an early stage with John Deere International GmbH. There, he developed an expertise in markets, customers and high-performing organisational structures.

In 2011, he joined the Schaumann Group and, over many years, played a key role in building and scaling the international B2B business for feed additives. Following further leadership roles and the successful assumption of business responsibilities both within and outside the Group, his path led him back to the Schaumann Group’s Executive Board in 2025.

Today, as the Executive Board member responsible for Business Development, he oversees the expansion of new business areas and partnerships – with a clear focus on sustainable growth and the future viability of the group.

Dr. Martin Rimbach

Dr. Martin Rimbach - Board Member for Research & Development

“Research with an impact – creating innovations. Designing progress.”

Dr Martin Rimbach combines scientific expertise with many years of business experience. After obtaining his qualification as a farmer, he studied agricultural sciences in Witzenhausen and Göttingen, and subsequently completed his PhD in animal nutrition at the University of Göttingen.

He spent several years in Norway working in research for a leading international aquaculture company before joining the Schaumann Group in 2006 – initially as a product developer for the pig sector. Just three years later, he took over as Managing Director of Research and Development and had a significant strategic and organisational impact on this division.

Since September 2024, Dr Rimbach has been a member of the Schaumann Group’s Executive Board and is responsible for the Research and Development division – consistently focused on effective innovation and sustainable progress.
